Storyline: IT ALL ENDS HERE. This is the final event of the 2016-2017 PGA TOUR season, which also is the ending to the four-tournament FedEx Cup playoff. Only 30 top players qualify for the event. Although, anyone in the field has a mathematical chance of claiming the FedExCup, but only 5 controls their own fate - a win at Tour Championship will guarantee them the FedExCup crown. They are as follows below.
Players to Watch:
Jordan Spieth - Spieth has a reasonable chance of winning the FedExCup title with a top-5 finish. If he wins, he will join Tiger as the only two-time FedExCup champion.
Justin Thomas - No player has won more this season than Thomas with 5 victories, including his first major at the PGA Championship.
Dustin Johnson - Johnson has a reasonable chance of winning the Cup this year with a second-place finish and can finish as low as fourth and still have a chance at the title.
Marc Leishman - Coming off a wire-to-wire win at the BMW Championship last week, no one has played better in the last two Playoffs events than Leishman.
Jon Rahm - This is his first FedExCup Playoffs appearance. Rahm has been impressively consistent, with top-5 finishes in each of his three starts.
