Lee's Top List - 10 Unwritten Laws of Golf That All (Hackers) Play By

1. A golf match is a test of your skills against your opponent's luck

2. The odds of hitting a shank increase by the square of the number of people watching

3. If it ain't broke, try changing your grip

4. If you're afraid a full shot might reach the green while the group ahead is still putting out, you have two options: You can immediately shank a lay-up or you can wait until the green is clear and top a ball halfway there

5. No matter how bad you are playing, it is always possible to play worse

6. If there is a ball on the fringe and a ball in the bunker, then your ball is in the bunker. If both balls are in the bunker, then yours is in the footprint

7. It's not a gimme if you are still away

8. Nothing straightens out a nasty slice quicker than a sharp dogleg to the right

9. Every time you make a birdie, you will subsequently make two triple bogies to restore the fundamental equilibrium of the universe

10. Your straightest iron shot of the day will be exactly one club short
