7 Signs That You Are Going To Be a Great Golfer

Fun and Relevant-at-times Clues to Your Golf Potential

  1.  Your name is inscribed on your golf bag

    • Great golfers are known to be cocky at times. Your hint of arrogance and the confidence to show-off comes out in your desire to be recognized.
  1. Your favorite saying on the range is “watch this”

    • You have to truly love the attention to swing confidently under pressure. If you love to awe your friends with your ball-striking ability, you are definitely on the right track to become a great golfer.
  1. You are reading this

    • Your desire to learn from everything, however relevant they are, is a sure sign that you are dedicated to become a better player. The great Ben Hogan has said that “the average golfer’s problem is not so much the lack of ability as it is the lack of knowledge about what he should be doing.” Your thirst for knowledge is pushing you to become always better.
  1. You have explained a road direction with golf terms

    • “Slice around the corner at the lights and the place is dogleg right, about a driver and a wedge away.” If you ever found yourself explaining a road direction with golf jargons then it’s a sure sign that you are constantly thinking about golf. If your mind is always immersed in the game of golf, it’s a sure sign that you just can’t get enough of it. You live golf, breathe golf, and you will be great at golf.
  1. People love playing with you

    • Your positive attitude and your love for the game draws others to love the game even more. You don’t want to be the friend nobody likes. And nobody wants to be your friend when you are playing bad. Golf is not always about the good technique. The element of luck does play a bigger role than any other sports. Be positive and stay focused. You will be oozing out positive energy and that in turn will make you score better.
  1. You always give 3 numbers when asked for your score

    • Total score, Green-In-Regulation and the number of putts. To become a better player, you have to be aware of your strengths and your weaknesses. You have to be constantly analyzing your game after a round. The final score does not tell the whole story. Always keep in mind that golf is a combination of different games in one.
  1. You practice playing a hook or a slice…with a wedge

    • These are not usual shots you will be require to play during a normal course of the game. However, being imaginative and creative is a trait that all good players share. If you love to visualize and put yourself in some odd situations, it’s a sure that you are ready for anything. You will be more confident on the course as a result.
